Corriedale roving is a favourite for needle felters, while Merino rovind is loved by nuno felters and fairy makers. Spinning roving into wool can be done with either and weaving can be done with any of it. And all of it! Even the locks.

Locks can add all kinds of texture and colour to weaving and spinning projects depending on their sheep of origin. They make perfect gnome beards, too.
