wooden loose parts
Open-ended play presents a world of benefits for your child’s learning and intellectual growth. Using loose parts is the perfect opportunity for engaging your child's imagination, curiousity and creativity.
This collection of (mostly) wooden loose parts is mostly wooden as we love the natural materials and their sensory experience. Play and create with peg dolls (nins), shapes, beads, bugs, fruits, nuts and animals.
During playtime, our children participate in games and activities that prioritize fun. Little do they know how much they're learning.
Use the loose parts for sorting + counting (math), painting friends + community members (social studies + story telling), build a Rube Goldberg contraptions (science) and sing a song in French about it all. Homeschooling fun times abound!
As a craft material, the loose parts can be painted, glued upon and turned into just about anything with the addition of paint, wool roving, curly locks or custom sewn outfits.
