Alkena Modelling Clay or Plasticine is a genuine coloured clay with natural ceramic additives combined with pure beeswax to make a modelling material that has a smooth consistency, maintains its shape at room temperature and can be worked on and cut with modelling tools.

Alkena Modelling Clay is a beeswax clay - a combination of natural clay, ceramic picments and beeswax.

It may look and feel a bit hard at first, much harder than your average plasticine (this is not play dough) but it you give it a chance and warm it up thoroughly, just like Stockmar Modelling Wax. You will be rewarded for your time!

Tear off a small piece and in two to three minutes the warmth of your hand will make it silky smooth and pliable. And if played with regularly will stay that way.

It is available in three natural, earthy tones - red, brown and yellow

quality stuff!

My son and I have had so much fun making little scenes with animal characters, pretend food, all kinds of imaginative play with this modelling clay! As someone who loved plasticine as a child, I'm so happy to have found a natural alternative (as I would never buy it for my child)! I love the ingredients of this modelling clay. It was a little harder to get going, as especially in the very first use it was tougher and drier than play dough, so I helped my child get started, but once it was warmed up it was easy to work with, and subsequent uses have been smoother and easier. All around, really nice stuff that we'll play with for a long time.
