Beam Paints The Small NORTHERN LIGHTS Travel Card

$7.99

Would you like to give Beam Paints a try? Here’s your chance!

The Northern Lights Travel Card is for hand-crafted all natural paints for a spin (you’re gonna love ‘em) or for hitting the road.

The Northern Lights card includes 6 metallic paints. They're shiny! They're sooo pretty. And the coverage is next level. Only ethicall-sourced mica is used in all of these paints.

Use them to highlight your watercolour paintings or paint wooden toadstools with them (like I did) to create something totally magical.

It’s for artists who appreciate handmade, vibrant, non-toxic art supplies. Like me and you.

Yes, ALL Beam Paints are of the highest quality.

These paints are made with the same dedication to lightfastness and quality and are identical to other Beam paints for fine artists.

We believe artists of all ages, even those in kindergarten, deserve the joys that handmade paints can bring!

And knowing that their safety has been considered to the highest degree!

Yes, Beam Paints are safe!

These colours have been third party tested by the toxicologists at Duke University and Cambridge Materials testing to meet and exceed the standards for safety for childrens paint. they are not toxic or hazardous and meet LHAMA and ASTM D4236 standards for artist materials! Through this process they have earned the right to bear this seal.

Yes, Beam Paints last!

Only a small amount of paint is needed as Beam Paints are only pigment and binder.  It creates a very concentrated colour which lasts a long time.

*A NOTE ON SHIPPING: I’d be happy to send this to you by letter mail for a flat rate of $7. Please send me an email or ask in the chat box and I’ll make you an invoice.

Made in Canada

Beam Paints is the result of a multi-generational love of pigment, paint, colour, and innovation. The owner of Beam Paints was raised by artist parents, Carl Beam and Ann Beam, and was taught from a young age how to harvest hematite pigment in the LaCloche mountain range near their home in M'Chigeeng First Nation on Manitoulin Island. Beam Paints draws on her early educations in Indigenous pigment and expands it to encompass all paint traditions. A focus on high quality pigment content creates sublime artist materials, with plastic free packaging.

Lightfast pigments, tree sap, gum arabic, and Manitoulin honey, blend together to create a handmade  saturated colour that is a joy to paint with. From thick stripes to fine washes and details, quality is evident in every stroke. Our watercolours are shaped into paintstones, our version of a half-pan, before being wrapped in beeswaxed canvas. Our pans are packaged in slices of cedar and birch offcuts from an Indigenous sustainable lumber operation.
