I have been homeschooling my children for 5 years. What we do now is, or has previously been, Waldorf-inspired, nature-based unschooling. Most days, I love how we, my children 10 + 8, spend our days together but I know how much work it is.

I know homeschooling is not just about getting your kids through the school year - it's a lifestyle. And that you are doing so much work, too - physical and emotional.

It can be so stressful + challenging. Why are you so triggered? Why won't your kids do what you want them to?

While Maplerose has already been supporting homeschooling families with high quality, sustainably-made, beautiful school supplies and art + crafts items for over 5 years now, I am now offering my support in a new way.

I've been parenting for over 10 years now. Before the children though, I was a nanny, teacher and workshop instructor with K-9 children. I have a bachelor of fine arts and have attended chef school and yoga teacher training. I've recently trained as a facilitator, have experience teaching adults individually and as a group.

But more than anything what I'm working toward is creating a supportive, safe and inviting community for homeschooling families. I want to connect through story telling, experience and holding space for you to explore what's coming up for you.
